Mini Biography: Mr. Nguyen is beginning his 8th year of teaching and his 8th year at Haltom Middle School. Mr. Nguyen received his bachelors degree in music education at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he was the Maverick Marching Band drum major and played saxophone in following ensembles: the Wind Symphony, Jazz ensemble and the Mav Brass pep band. Mr. Nguyen is proud to teach at the middle school where he attended. Prior to Haltom, Mr. Nguyen student taught at Keller High School and Keller Middle school under Mark McGahey. His classes that he instructs are beginning saxophone, beginning euphonium/tuba, beginning french horn, beginning trumpet, the Symphonic band and he assists with Honors band. When he is not teaching, Mr. Nguyen enjoys hanging with his friends, playing pickleball, and working out.
